Spark | Cassandra Charboneau (10)

Writer: shsimagesshsimages

They said that when you fall in love there will be a spark

I’ve never felt one though.

Does that mean I’ve never loved?

No, I love David, my cat.

Mom says that's not the same.

Okay, so how about Grandma?

Dad says it’s not the same.

How is it not the same?

It’s still love is it not?

But it’s still not the same.

I ask how I will know.

They just said you’ll feel a spark.

They said when I feel the spark then I’ll understand.

I didn’t believe them.

They said I will.

I believe them now.

I believe them as I wake up.

I believe them as I smell breakfast.

I believe them as I enter the kitchen.

I believe them as I watch my wife cook.

I believe them as we eat together.

I believe them.

I felt it.
