Think not of those who feed on destruction of pride
Of those who thrive on the darkness of the abyss
Think more of those who empower the mind,
Of those whose presence instills natural bliss
Think not of the pain that stems from ignorant decision,
Of the repugnant consequences of irrepressible rage
Think more of the benevolence accompanying wisdom
Of the serenity and tranquility that comes with age
Think not of the scrutiny that accompanies suspicion
Of the labeling of genius as unconventional peculiarity
Think more of those who engulf their mind in a decision
Of those who recognize the importance of charity.
Though the world forever changes, and people move on
Circumstances differ and time goes by in a blink
Let your mind remain steady and ultimately calm
Yet above all, take a step back
And think.
