Sanctuary- safety, reminds me of my mom.
Mama, I can’t see past you right now, I'm so small and everything is a little blurry.
All I see is you.
When you feel scared or alone, or like everything is crashing down, remember i am here too. I know as you get older the days feel a little bit lonelier, but they aren’t lonely for me. You are my world.
When you feel like you don’t know what you’re doing, you make it look easy to me. You know me better than anyone and I trust you.
Mama, you are my safety blanket. Each night as I come home I see you with a grinning face even though I know that you aren’t very happy.
You have taught me everything I know and stand for and have raised me to be strong and independent. But, no matter what, I will always be your little girl.
You were the first person who held me in their arms and even though I may not remember it I know that somehow, someway you will always be holding me through every obstacle in my life.
You are my home, and my safe spot, you are my sanctuary, mom.
