Four-Leaf Clover | Tabatha Fye (11)

Driving back from Dublin

A smile on her face

Yet with teary eyes

She contemplates

The conclusion of a perfect weekend

With her favorite person

Overflowed with fun and rest

As time ticked on, she watched

The miles between them grew

The school week reared its ugly head

While she fantasized of weekends that would ensue

That night, with a smile gleaming on her face,

She chatters on her phone

The voice coming out providing a virtual embrace

She prepares for bed

Reminiscing of her weekend trip

Sleep takes her hand and guides her

Through bittersweet dreams
