Hi, I’m Mrs. Bush and I’ve been advising Images since 2004.  I’m really impressed by my staff and all of their creative ideas for publishing student work.  In my free time, I like to travel, to read (Ella Minnow Pea is my favorite book), and to enjoy the changing seasons.  My undergraduate majors were English and English Education. My Masters was in Curriculum and Instruction.  

Hi! I’m Hayden Mesnick, a senior at SHS and the Chief Editor of Images. This is my fourth year as a member. In my spare time I play piano and French horn, eat, and sleep. My primary interest, however, is music composition—I write contemporary-classical music, but I listen to music of almost every genre (except country). I like origami, the color orange, Bmaj13#11, and peeling clementines in one piece. I plan to attend college for composition.

Hello there! I am Catherine Shong, a senior at SHS and Co-editor (Literary) of Images. This is my second year as a member (but I have been sending in submissions since it was introduced to me in Honors English 9). When I have the time, I enjoy reading (yes, for fun!), writing, doodling, playing violin, attempting to cook recipes I saw online and of course — the epitome of them all — sleep.

Hey! I’m Sammy Jennings, a Junior at SHS and a Co-Editor of Images. This is my second year as a member. In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, writing, singing, and being outdoors. My favorite subject in school is English and my favorite season is Fall. I am interested in attending college for Journalism Communications or International Affairs.

Halloa, I am Wenzhao Qiu (some may know me as Wendy, Wendi, Wenzhoa, Wenzahao, Wen, Guashau (???), or I'm-sorry-I-can't-pronounce-your-name). I'm a senior and this is my second year on Images staff. My goal is to become Elon Musk. (Aim high, hit low, after all.) Besides that, I love writing in my "free" time (a.k.a. when sleep forsakes me) and my current objective is to write in as many genres and styles possible before I graduate. Also, I like marshmallows.

Hi! I’m Iris Yu, a sophomore here at SHS. This is my first year with Images; I joined because I spent a full day last year stalking the Images website and thought hey, I could do this! I spend the majority of my time, free or not, writing. When I’m not doing that, I’m trying to find my bones at Speech & Debate, measuring garbanzo beans at Science Olympiad, and lamenting about my inability to keep track of the days of the week. I’m also an officer of Creative Writing Club, so here’s my shameless plug for that (email me if you want in). 

Hi! I’m Charles Costanzo, a senior at SHS. This is my first year as an Images staff member, and I contributed to Images for the first time last year. Besides Stouffer’s Mac and Cheese, I’ve been enamored with writing and photography for as long as I can remember. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of my fingers flying across a keyboard as I craft an Images submission due the next day. And there’s nothing as awe-inspiring as being able to capture snapshots of everything from songbirds to Starbucks.

Bonjour, I’m Holly Hill, a sophomore at SHS. This is my first year at Images. I’ve played the piano for about 5 years now, I’m a ballet dancer, and I like creative writing (join the Creative Writing Club!). I’m pretty undecided on future careers, though I’m looking mostly at being either a nurse practitioner or an environmental engineer. My favorite classes are Chemistry, APUSH, French, and English.

Hi! I’m Nilima Patel, a junior at SHS. This is my first year at Images. I love reading, writing, sleeping, and contemplating the universe.  I plan to attend college as a Biomedical engineer major & minor in philosophy. I am also a HUGE comic book fan (especially DC and The Umbrella Academy comics). I also enjoy knitting & baking in my free time.
