How can our moment last forever?

How can our legacy carry on?

The only way to remember us is by pausing the moment and then moving on.

My phone fills with images, and other fake smiles too

They’re what I have to remind me of when there was me and you.

You made me want to look back and you made me want to smile,

But the only thing I realized was that it wasn’t worth my while.

I tried to laugh it off and keep our memories alive,

But they died when I stopped the moment. They couldn’t stay alive.

My memories won’t fade and I'll remember you, but all those fake smiles are what I see from my point of view.
