Wonder
For me
Is a wide, wide open night sky
Filled with tiny pinpricks of stars
As far as the eye can see.
So vast,
So deep,
So endless,
So much bigger than me.
I could sit for hours,
Neck craning to angle my eyes to the sky,
Marvelling at the universe.
The sense of smallness that fills me
The feeling of amazement that brushes each corner of my mind
The sensation of knowing that there is so much more out there
Wonder.
